The greatest show on turf is just 10 weeks away and with all the uncertainty buzzing around – Paddy’s stepping up to the plate to leave you well and truly covered for Cheltenham 2021.
From 10am on Wednesday, January 6, we’re going Non-Runner Money Back on ALL 28 races at the four-day Festival from March 16-20. Huzzah!
And it’s not just on Irish horses. It’s English, French & whoever else wants to get in on the action at the four-day fiesta.
Here’s the deal. Any horse you back that doesn’t run in that race at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival – you’ll get your money back. Simples.
So if you fancy the French horse Easysland to hose up in the Cross Country Chase again, but think the backlog at Dover mightn’t be cleared by mid-March, have no fear. If you back Easysland after 10am on January 6 for the Cross Country Chase and his passport is out of date or he misses the boat – you’ll get YOUR MONEY BACK.
And if you thought Frodon looked a Cheltenham Gold Cup player after his King George win but are worried that connections could switch to the Ryanair Chase if the ground rides heavy – don’t fret. Your Gold Cup stake WILL BE REFUNDED for you to play up somewhere else.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Paddy Power Ambassador and all-round racing pundit Ruby Walsh had to say.
For punters that have any concerns about backing Irish horses in particular this is a pretty iron-clad insurance policy.
“For what it’s worth, I’d be fairly optimistic about Irish horses being able to travel to the mid-March meeting. The 2021 Festival will be different, but thankfully the racing will still be the same. Hopefully, people will still have plenty to look forward to, with some brilliant clashes over the four days.”
And Paddy Power rowed in to say: “I love a good ante-post punt and there’s no better feeling than putting your money where your mouth is two months before a race and then see it winning at the Festival.
“I’m hugely looking forward to the old battle between the English and Irish horses and while I’d be quietly confident of it happening, NRMB completely wipes away any lingering doubts and allows punters peace of mind to get stuck into their fancies.”
The initiative comes soon after a busy festive racing period in which Paddy saw some big Irish movers for plenty of the Cheltenham contests.
Henry de Bromhead’s A Plus Tard was a huge mover for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after getting the better of a pulsating finish to the Savills Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas while Willie Mullins’ Chacun Pour Soi, already considered the one to beat in the Queen Mother Champion Chase, solidified into favourite after his demolition job in the Paddy’s Rewards Club Chase also at Leopardstown.
Mullins also looks to have a strong contender for the opening Supreme Novices Hurdle where Appreciate It could be one of the Irish bankers after a scintillating win in the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle.
